Tuesday, Feb. 04, 2003 6:57 A.M. I'm so Exciting, I scare me. Sure. Well, still no answer from my phone call nor my e-mail to The school as yet. I don't expect them to really do anything, but common courtesy would dictate at least a response. It's a matter of principle. Nothing going on around here. Boss lady is at a seminar until Thursday. That's always nice. I seem to get twice the work done when she is away. It isn't just me. The others feel the same way. We are ordering out for lunch today. Chinese, I think. We do that every once in a while just for a break. We eat in the conference room and take a few extra minutes. It is nice to relax and eat at the same time. We all use to eat at the same time but for a year or so, we had to staggar out lunch so that at any given time, there was someone to answer the phones and assist at the counter. I have no idea what started that, but it is now a thing of the past and we eat at the same time again. This means that there one of us is jumping up every few minutes for the phone or something. We don't really mind because it also means we can once again take lunch when we want. I hate to be locked into a set half hour. For one thing, we run to the bank and other errands during this time. If we run a minute or two over it is obvious. But when we just take it at our own pace, those few minutes go unnoticed. I don't feel guilty. Many a day has gone by when we are busy and out lunch is swallowed whole while sitting at our desk. When left on our own, we get our work done, everybody is taken care of and it eventually evens out. In my line of work, if you goof off and don't get your work done, the only one that suffers is you. We all have our own separate duties and so we have our own separate responsibilities. Gee, I just re-read that last paragraph. How boring is MY life right now? I read other diaries and someone is always getting divorced, getting married, moving accross country or some other huge lifechange. I just sit and talk about my work day. How exciting. Oh well, I calls them as I sees them. When all is said and done, I have a great hubby, healthy happy gorwn kids, a decent home and a calm comfortable life. I guess I should just be greatful. Later...
