Saturday, Feb. 01, 2003 6:49 A.M. Brothers and Nephews and stuff. You know what really ticks me off? Whining all week long about having to get up early to go to work and then waking up at 6:00 on Saturday morning. I could be sleeping away right now, but once I'm awake after 6, there is no going back to sleep for me. So instead, here I sit typing away. ****************************** Bragging rights here. My greatnephew just turned 6 in December. His school offered an art class and he wanted to take it. My nephew and his wife went out and bought all these art supplies for him. My nephew thought it was a waste of money. Check this out:  I think he will be getting his money's worth. This is his first drawing. ******************************* Brother Pete had the growth removed from his cheek yesterday. It went very smooth and they are confident they removed it all. We will have to wait till the pathology report comes back to know if it was benign or malignant. Either way, Thank God they got all of it. He had it done at the VA hospital. His surgery was scheduled for 10:30 but due to a problem with the patient before him, his was bumped back to 1:00. Then he had to get his meds. He got out at 3:15 and never made it back here till 4:00. Poor bugger worked Thursday night, so when he got home at 6:30am, he just stayed up. The good news is that because of how tired he was and armed with a prescription of Vicodin, he probably will sleep til this afternoon. ******************************* Swappingtons is going really well. I have had three tapes delivered and still have 5 more coming! I am waiting for Jurmanji (sp), IJ Temple of Doom, Princess Bride, Ladyhawk, What Dreams may Come. That's not bad condidering that the only money this is costing so far is $2.58 for the two DVD's I swapped out. If you haven't checked it out yet, please do so and please mention my name. Ok, enough plugging. I will try to keep the begging to a minimum in the future. (the operative word here folks is "try") ******************************* Is anyone here besides me addicted to the new Star Search Program? We love it. I wish Naomi Judd would stick to singing and give up her position as judge on there though. I used to like her. What a snot she is! I don't like her anymore. This Thursday is the finals for the first set of contestants. I think one of the reasons I like it so much is because of the fact that it's live. Arsenio Hall is the MC and I can't believe some of the lines he gets away with. I isn't raunchy or anything, but he comes close to crossing the line on occasion. The people on ther are amazing. There is so much talent. Yup, we will continue to watch this one. ******************************* I think I will try and get a little work done this morning instead of sitting at my computer for the next 3 hours.
